Just who the hell do we think we are?

The Country Breakfast is a six-piece band made up of seasoned musicians who have spent over two decades performing across the Chicago area and throughout the Midwest in a wide variety of projects. Blending experience with personality, the group delivers a show that goes beyond the music - featuring irreverent humor, spontaneous stage banter and just enough improvisation to keep every performance fresh and unpredictable. Fronted by Big Lux Fixxins, the band embraces a lighthearted yet rowdy spirit, mixing funny originals with crowd-pleasing, sing-along covers. Their mission is simple: help audiences laugh, let loose, and forget about life’s daily grind, even if just for a little while.

According to band lore, The Country Breakfast got its start as the late-night crew of a small greasy spoon diner in a mountain town just outside Chicago. When mounting gambling debts (and some very serious threats involving their thumbs) forced a change in career paths, they teamed up with overnight shift manager “Big” Lux Fixxins, mostly because he owned a truck with a crew cab and a willingness to drive. From there, they hit the road and never looked back.

Drawing inspiration from classic country storytelling and the everyday lives of working people, The Country Breakfast delivers songs about love, life, questionable decisions, and the firm belief that flip flops deserve year-round respect. Their performances invite audiences to sing, drink, laugh, and become part of the show. Whether playing original tunes or putting their own spin on familiar favorites, The Country Breakfast brings an easygoing yet rowdy energy that turns any venue into a good-time gathering.
